This saxophone, pitched in the key of C, is likely a Buescher-made horn stenciled as a Selmer, circa 1922. Refurbished and repadded with all new Roo pads by our master saxophone technician, Jon Ranney. This used instrument is in great shape with a shiny silver finish. Comes with the original mouthpiece, cap, and ligature. Serial #59943
Pitched in the key of C – (i.e., a C played on the saxophone sounds as a C) – melody saxophones were created to enable musicians to play along with pianists, reading directly off the piano music with no transposition necessary.
