This used silver-plated "New Wonder" C melody saxophone from 1922-23 is in pristine condition! It has been professionally refurbished (including internal cleaning and a complete repad with roo pads). Serial #98284.
Pitched in the key of C – (i.e., a C played on the saxophone sounds as a C) – melody saxophones were created to enable musicians to play along with pianists, reading directly off the piano music with no transposition necessary.
Includes a mouthpiece, ligature, cap, old neck strap, and lyre. Also: the original pads and some old C melody reeds.
