To help combat the spread of COVID-19 in accordance with CDC and VT Department of Health guidelines, the Ellis Music storefront is presently open to the public by appointment only.
Please use Ellis Music’s convenient online rental system. The instrument will be shipped directly to your home via UPS at no extra cost to you, or it can be picked up curbside by appointment. Our school delivery option may be limited due to Covid-19 protocols at individual schools.
The instrument can be dropped off curbside (by appointment) or shipped back to Ellis Music. Returning the instrument via your local school may be an option when school is in session, but you will need to check with your school. Please refer to our instrument rental return instructions for more information.
Almost everything that Ellis Music has in stock can be purchased through the website. We are currently offering free shipping for web orders to our customers in Vermont or New Hampshire. Browse our products using the 'Shop Online' link from the top menu, or use the search bar to look for a specific item.
Either you will need to ship the instrument to Ellis Music (Shipping Instructions) or make an appointment to drop off the instrument curbside. We may be able to pick up the instrument at your school, but this varies and may change over time as schools switch between in-person and remote learning. If you want to make arrangements to drop off an instrument, please use the contact form to send us an email or call the store. We are quarantining incoming instruments for a period of time before handling them.
We are limiting instrument trial appointments to one-at-a-time. A pre-scheduled appointment is required. You can schedule an appointment by phone. Please be sure to review our store guidelines prior to visiting.
As with other businesses, we will be periodically re-assessing our policies and practices as new developments occur.
The National Federation of State High School Associations has published a document providing guidance on how to clean musical instruments with COVID-19 in mind.
