Ellis Music is a family owned music store employing fewer than 20 workers but serving over 400 schools and thousands of individuals throughout Vermont and much of New Hampshire with instrument sales and rentals, repair services, supplies, and sheet music.

Summer Instrument Polisher
Location: Bethel, VT
Schedule: Temporary Position, mid-June through end of August, up to 40 hrs/wk (M–F)
Ellis Music Company is seeking local, responsible, detail‑oriented students to join our summer team as Instrument Polishers. In this hands-on role, you’ll clean and polish brass and wood instruments, mouthpieces, and cases, then pack each rental with all the necessary supplies. Careful handling and a strong sense of quality are essential—but don’t worry if you’ve never worked with instruments before. We’ll teach you everything you need to know on-site.
This position runs from mid-June (end of the school year) through the end of August and offers a friendly, laid‑back environment perfect for adding real-world experience to your résumé or college application. You’ll practice independence as you work through your tasks, and you’ll know exactly when to ask questions or seek help. Rising juniors, seniors, and recent graduates who take pride in their work and love learning new skills will fit right in.
